About this blog
I’m 29, gay, and living in Campbell, California, and I am writing this blog to share what I have learned in my struggles to start living a healthy life.
I didn’t grow up playing sports, eating healthy food, or even learning which fruits I liked. As a result, my adulthood started out with a lot of learning lessons about living a healthy lifestyle. As a gay man, I often felt pressure to look a certain way in order to be a part of the gay community. I was chubby as a kid, and wanted to do something about it, but there was no “quick fix” to my problems. I had to start making changes in my eating habits, start exercising, pay attention to my sleep, and really take care of myself.
It has been over two years of consistent effort, and I must say I am happy with the results. But life hands out challenges just as fast as it gives out kudos. I am always looking at ways to improve my health. I try to keep an open mind, and try different things out (I have my friends to thank for that! lol).
It’s not easy to make changes. I hope that by sharing how I made small changes, it had a big impact on my life over time, it may help others along their path. We are not in this alone, so why not share what we know, and help each other out? Well, maybe we can.
I hope you enjoy the recipes, the random health notes, the weird gym stories, and the top 10 lists.
Thanks for reading,
